Unlike most women I know, I can't just walk into a department store and buy whatever cosmetics are hot at the moment. If I did, I'd be asking for rashes, red bumps, itchiness, and acne to break out all over my skin. I have sensitive skin and that means it doesn't react well to certain chemicals and products. With that said, I've tested practically every single beauty product out there, and there are quite a few good ones that work well on sensitive skin like mine–trust me!

So if your skin reacts to everything you slather on it, don't stress! Here are a few of my favorite beauty products perfect for sensitive skin. And don't think they're going to cost you big bucks either. Most of these are super cheap. I'm talking less than $10 cheap!

Cleanser

There’s a reason why most dermatologists recommend Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser ($8) This non-foamy cleanser cleans and moisturizes my face without the irritation. I love it!
Serum

It took me years to find a serum that wouldn’t leave my face oily and filled with breakouts. I was just about to give up on them until I tried Renée Rouleau Skin Correcting Serum ($40). It’s not just gentle on my skin, but it also prevents acne and banishes blemishes. What more could I ask for?
Moisturizer

Most moisturizers that contain suncreen leave an oily, white residue on my face, which is why I only use Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 35 ($10). This thing was made for my skin.
Night cream

Looking for a light, non-greasy night cream? Try CeraVe Facil Moisturizing Lotion PM ($13). It works wonders!
Body wash

This might sound strange, but I LOVE to shower with Aveeno Baby Cleansing Therapy Moisturizing Wash ($6). Hey if it’s gentle enough for babies, it’s gentle enough for me.
Body cream

Burt’s Bees Soothingly Sensitive Body Lotion ($8) is made up of buttermilk and aloe vera to gently nourish but also calm sensitive skin.
Foundation

I’m obsessed with BareMinerals Original SPF 15 Foundation ($27). This mineral makeup doesn’t just give you flawless coverage, but it actually works to improve your skin.
Deodorant

If most deodorants give you itchiness or irritation, try Dove Advanced Care with Nutrium Moisture Sensitive Skin Deodorant ($7). It has yet to disappoint me.
