Fred & Friends, the company behind these novelty pacifiers, is recalling 200,000 of them because of a choking hazard. The ones being recalled are the Chill Baby Artiste, and Panic , and Volume pacifiers. The items which were intended to look cute on infants feature fake mustaches and dials that read Panic and Volume.
Luckily, no injuries have been reported, but Fred & Friends was told of one instance where the pacifier came loose. If your baby has one of these, here is what you need to do to keep them safe.

The manufacturers are pulling these dangerous pacifiers off shelves from the U.S. to Canada. They have have teamed up with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety and Commission to alert parents everywhere of the latest recall. In the U.S alone, 183,000 were recalled and are warning retailers who sold them between April 2013 and December 2013.
Fred & Friends is offering a full refund to customers who purchased the pacifiers during that time frame and urge them to stop their babies from using them effective immediately. If you are uncertain if your baby owns one of these pacifiers, you can reach the manufacturers at 855-346-6372 or on their website, Fredandfriends.com.
In the event that you have the packaging from the pacifier, the models being recalled are as follows: The Artiste's UPC is 728987021282; the Volume style's UPC is 728987020599; and the Panic style's UPC is 728987020605.
It's irresponsible for a company to sell baby items and have them be this unsafe. How do you not construct a proper pacifier that can come apart easily? Hopefully there aren't any infants who received injuries due to this product. At least the company is owning up to its error and refunding customers before any baby suffers any injury. Please make sure to contact the company if you believe your baby has one of these pacifiers right away.
