I don't know about you, but for me picking a name for my children that would be easy for my Spanish-speaking relatives to pronounce was pretty important and with my first child I was able to choose a first and middle name that sound the same in English as they do in Spanish. That didn't happen with my second child: A name came to my hubby and I that is straight up English-language and we just couldn't let the name go, it's like the name picked us and not the other way around. But to compromise, we did give our second daughter a middle name that is all Spanish-language and guess what? Everyone calls her by her middle name.
