This couple gave their kid a RIDICULOUS name & you won’t believe what happened next

Surely by now we are all getting used to the whackadoodle names that people choose to name their babies. I mean Bear, North, Apple, and even Cheese seem like not such a big deal anymore, but what about something that sounds like a euphemism for being on your period?

Summer and Steven Steele, a couple from Andalusia, Alabama, are apparently huge fans of University of Alabama's football team Crimson Tide. So, they named their baby boy (born on December 17) Krimson Tyde. Although I admire their creative re-imagining of the spelling, COME ON! Oh and now they're shocked by the reactions they are getting. Really?

Someone posted about baby Krimson TydeSteele on Twitter and the bloody ragging began. Summer Steele says, "I'm shocked, I didn't think people would make such a big deal about it." Quite frankly, I'm shocked that she's shocked.

You can be huge fans of a football team, but maybe, just maybe if that football team's name also resembles something that calls to mind a woman's menstrual cycle, you should abstain from using it as your child's name. I'm all for original and uncommon names, but there is no way this poor kid is going to escape ridicule with a name like that.

I suppose that if you don't say the name all in one breath it's not so bad. Like if you say, "This is Krymson" or "This is Tyde," it really doesn't sound terrible, it's just that when you put the two together…a bad joke comes to mind. I wonder if they have another child would they consider naming her Maxi Pad Steele. I know it has nothing to do with a football team, but it would go well with their son's name, don't you think?

Regardless, of the strange name choice, congratulations to the Steele family on their wonderful new addition. May we all become accustomed to your baby boy's name and just let it be after we get all the dumb jokes out of our system.
