I can't tell how annoyed I get whenever I notice there's no more makeup remover wipes left in my bathroom. Ugh! And it's especially annoying if I'm already wearing layers of waterproof mascara that's a pain in the butt to take off. In fact, it was just the other day I ran into this dilemma. I was panicking and pestering my fiancé to head to our local pharmacy and grab me some makeup remover until I remembered I had some coconut oil in the kitchen. Oh yes ladies, coconut oil along with a whole bunch of other foods can actually help keep your face gunk-free. How awesome is that?

There's no reason to leave your nice and toasty house and head out into the bitter cold just to buy a new bottle of makeup remover. I don't know about you, but I'd rather spend that time snuggling on my couch watching TV. Need to remove your makeup? Don't stress! Just head to kitchen and look for these f__oods that will take that mascara out better than your favorite makeup remover__. Check them out!
Coconut oil: I like to use the organic virgin kind (in solid form) and rub it on a tissue before I press it against my face and lashes. Not only does it wonderfully remove any trace of makeup but it leaves my skin smooth, soft, and radiant afterwards. Can we say winter glow?
Olive oil: Here's another oil that's amazing at removing makeup. Simply dip a cotton ball into a cap-full of olive oil and swipe away!
Baby oil: Whenever I crash over my bestie's place (after a long night of partying) she never passes me a pack of makeup remover wipes. Instead, she swears by baby oil. You'd be surprised how well this thing can help you swipe off a dark smoky eye.
Milk: Strange, I know! But this stuff really works. It also helps soothe dry, sensitive skin. Try soaking a cotton ball in milk and then use it to remove your makeup. Finish off by rinsing your face with lukewarm water.
Almond oil: If you have oily or acne-prone skin I suggest you try removing your makeup with almond oil. This non-greasy oil gets even the toughest mascaras out and leaves your skin with a dewy glow. I love it!
