I'm convinced Adrienne Bailon has crappy female friends. We love Adrienne, but a good friend wouldn't have let her walk out of the house with that crazy deep tan she showed off earlier this week. I don't know if this was a self-tanner or bronzer disaster, but girlfriend looked like Snooki during her orange-tanning days!
Which brings me to the perennial Latina sin: overusing bronzer! It's supposed to give you a healthy-looking glow, not have you looking like a Oompa Loompa.

Don't get me wrong, though: Bronzer can be used on ALL skin tones, not just fair ones. That's another misconception a lot of us tend to have. Here are six bronzer sins you have to avoid, plus tips on how to get it right!
Don't pick the wrong shade: Make sure you don't go more than three shades darker than your natural skin tone. Stay away from colors that look too orange-y, unless you want to look like a dark carrot.
Don't apply it all over your face: Another very common bronzer mistake is applying it all over your face. You should only pick spots where the sun would naturally hit, like your forehead, nose, and cheeks.
Don't forget your neck: Nothing looks worse than a bronzed face and a pale neck. Make sure to extend your bronzer to your neck and hairline for a natural look. Blend well!
Don't use just any formula: The trick to bronzer is finding a formula that works with your skin type. If you have dry skin, a cream bronzer will help give you a dewy glow. For oily skin, stick to a powder or mineral powder formula.
Don't use just any brush: If you're applying bronzer to your cheeks, I recommend using a blush brush and applying it in a sweeping motion. Apply in gentle, light strokes for forehead and add just a little dab for nose and chin.
Don't get cakey: The worst thing you can do is add too many layers of bronzer. You're just going to wind up with an unnatural and cakey look. If you want a little more shimmer, add a small dab of liquid illuminator to cheeks.
