Do you have trouble sticking to a budget? Do you even have a buget? Are you guilty of overspending when you should be saving? Do you find yourself reaching for your wallet and knowing that the best thing would be for your wallet to run away from you? Know that you are not alone and maybe just maybe it's not your fault, but your wallet's fault. A Japanese company has created a clever Living Wallet prototype that works with a bookkeeping app called Zaim. If you don't have money to spend, your Living Wallet will know and literally run away from you. Ha!

The wallet has wheels and operates on Save Mode or Consumption Mode depending on your corresponding balance. When you reach for it and it is in Safe Mode, it will run away. If you still grab it and open it, it will start to scream and ask for help. If the embarrassment of having your wallet scream that you shouldn't be spending isn't enough to stop you, it will call your mother and tell on you. I love it!
On the other hand, if you have got money to burn, the wallet will encourage you to do your part for the economy. You can program it to announce popular products on Amazon, while it plays Beethoven. Hilarious!
Unfortunately, this wallet is not on the market and there are no plans to sell it to the public. Seems like a shame.
