Believe or not, there are actually a ton of hair tools out there that can give you beautiful bouncy curls without the pesky heat damage. Retouching your curls with a curly iron is only going to wreak havoc on your poor strands, especially if you have thin, fine hair. Here are a few non-damaging hair tools every curly haired chica should own!

A diffuser

If you still don't have a diffuser in your position, I suggest you buy one ASAP! This amazing hair tool dries curls without over drying them and prevents frizz or damage. I love the DevaDryer and DevaFuser ($160) it's a hair dryer that comes complete with a diffuser, gently drying curls while also boosting volume.
Flexi rods

If you want perfectly bouncy curls, try putting in flexi rods, like the Goody Start Style Finish Spiral It Out Flexible Rod Rollers on damp hair ($15). Leave it on over night and in the morning you'll wake up with an amazingly tousled look!
Hooded dryer

Another great and less-damaging way to dry natural curls is with a hooded hair dryer. Try the Laila Ali Salon Ionic Hair Dryer ($40). The ionic technology helps hair to retain moisture while also preventing breakage.
Spiral rods

For long lasting spirals, try wrapping one inch strands around perm rods, like Luxor Cyber Spiral Rods ($5). Leave them on for a few hours and expect perfectly bouncy locks! Best part is they don't require pins or clips.
Hot rollers set

For soft lose curls, try a hot rollers set, like the Conair Hot Rollers Xtreme Instant Heat ($60). They leave curls just as defined as a curly iron–just without the heat damage of course!
