Let's be honest here. The beauty looks from New York Fashion Week can sometimes be WAY more weird than wearable. But I'm happy to report that this was not the case for Spring 2014. In fact, I saw a ton of gorgeous hair, makeup, and nail looks that would work for any Latina. Instead of crazy, over-the-top looks, this season was filled with pretty lip colors, bold eye makeup, and chic hairstyles that work for all skin tones and hair textures. Finally, runway looks for us!

And just because these looks are for spring, doesn't mean you can't sport them now. Be ahead of the curve and try out some of these beautiful beauty trends early. Who else is as excited as I am?

Carolina Herrera
The 60s inspired makeup at Carolina Herrera was absolutely stunning. Diane Kendal, working with MAC Cosmetics was going for a pretty and polished, "modern-day Twiggy" look. She began by applying a light layer of foundation, followed by a rosy pink cream blush on the apples of cheeks, like Make Up For Ever HD MicroFinish Blush in Truth or Dare ($26). Pale-pink lipstick was then applied to lips. For olive, medium, or dark complexions, try Revlon Matte in Pink Pout ($7). To create that doll lash look, a thin line of black eyeliner was applied close to the lashes with individual falsies on top and bottom. Finish off with two coats of a navy blue mascara. I like Estèe Lauder More Than Macara in Rich Navy ($24).
Christian Siriano
Models at Christian Siriano walked down the runway with clean and sleek ponytails. To recreate the look pull voluminous strands into a mid length ponytail and then use the end of a rattail comb to add some lift to roots. Then wrap a textured braid around the base of the ponytail to add dimension. Spritz a strong but flexible hold hairspray, like L'Oréal Paris Satin Strong Hold Spray ($15) to hold the look.
DKNY
Matte orange labios look great against Latina skin tones. Makeup artist Charlotte Willer first lined lips with Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner in Nude ($5). Then she filled in the shape with a bright mandarin lipstick using a lip brush. Try Estèe Lauder Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Mandarin Pop ($26).
Tracy Reese
Curly haired chicas would love the textured knot updos from the Tracy Reese show. The inspiration for the hair look was "Afro Cuban." Stylists primed hair with the Ouidad Wave Create Sea Spray ($23) and then rough dried. On models with straighter hair, the TIGI Bed Head Wave Artist Tourmaline Ceramic Deep Waver ($25) was used, followed by the Ouidad Play Curl Volumizing Styling Spray ($22) to hold the look. Hair was then pulled up into a relaxed, modern knot that was perfectly placed at the crown of the head.
Ruffian
How cool is this mani? A creamy nude color, like Essie Nail Polish in Brooch the Subject ($8) was applied to round shaped nails and then edged with a bright violet polish. Try CoverGirl Outlast Stray Brillant Glosstinis in Purple Freeze ($3).
Nicole Miller
I LOVE the shiny, raspberry-toned lips from Nicole Miller. Makeup artist lined lips with MAC Vino Lip Pencil ($15) and topped with MAC Pro Violetta Lipstick ($30). This look definitely works for fall too!
Rebecca Minkoff
The braided headbands at Rebecca Minkoff was inspired by Frida Kahlo. Three pontails were made into four-strand braids, wrapped around the head and then pinned into place. To create a more relaxed look make sure to tug out stray pieces. Finish with a blast of TRESemme Fresh Start Color Care Dry Shampoo ($6).
Tess Giberson
Interested in an edgier mani? Try the grungy nail look from Tess Giberson. Begin by applying one coat of JINsoon Obsidian Nail Lacquer ($18), but then immediately wipe it off using a makeup sponge. Make sure some of the polish streaks around the cuticle and there you go!
Diane Von Furstenberg
For simple sexy hair, like the touchable waves from Diane Von Furstenberg wrap a 1 1/2 inch wand, like the Remington Style 1 1/2 Therapy Keratin Therapy Clip-Free Curling Iron ($30) around sections of hair. Finish off with a spritz of hairspray.
