Step 1: Marysol began by applying one coat of a peachy polish as the base coat. She used CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in Peaches & Cream ($4).

Step 2: Afterwards she layered on a glittery mint shade over all the nails, minus the pointer fingers. I love Deborah Lipmann Mermaids Eyes ($19).  About the three-quarters of the nail should be covered. "Tap your polish brush along the nail edges to help seal in the color," suggests Marysol.

Step 3: She then allowed the nails to dry for about 2 minutes and then starting at the base of each nail brush a shimmery gold polish in an upward motion. Try Orly Nail Lacquer in Prisma Gloss Gold ($7).

Step 4: "Always clean around the edges while you're applying the nail polish for a clean and polished look," says Marysol who also recommends using a sponge if you have problems painting your own nails.
