Children learn through play, so if you want your kids to speak Spanish I highly recommend you join a Spanish-speaking playgroup in your area. I know for a fact that that they are a must when raising bilingual children because we've belong to one ever since my eldest daughter was 2. Not only is it great for the children to interact with others who are growing up with two languages, but it's also great for the moms (and dads) who have decided to embark in this journey and need all the help and support they can get.

The Spanish-speaking playgroup we joined almost five years ago gave my daughter an opportunity to use her Spanish in a completely different setting than the one at home, where she was surrounded by adults only. Although we didn't really structure our meetups in terms of themes or specific activities, it was thanks to our playgroup that we eventually started a children's book club in Spanish once the kids got a bit older.
Finding these types of groups is not as difficult as you think. My recommendation is that you visit SpanglishBaby Playground, where you can find playgroups in a bunch of states or you can check out Meetup.com or Yahoo! Groups.
If you can't find a playground in your area, don't despair. Although it sounds like a lot of work, maybe you can start your own. With summer right around the corner and school about to end, this is the perfect time to try to organize a playgroup since you can use local parks to meetup if you don't feel comfortable inviting strangers to your home.
Once the group has been around for a few weeks and you've gotten together several times, you can start rotating responsibilities in terms of organizing a meetup. You don't have to prepare specific activities because the whole point is for the kids to just spend some time playing in Spanish!
¡Buena suerte!
