2013 Met Gala: Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez + 7 best & worst dressed (PHOTOS)

What in the world was Kim Kardashian wearing last night? The reality star showed up with boyfriend Kanye West to the Met Costume Institute Ball in a super strange, long-sleeved floral dress that featured a thigh-high slit, oh and wait for it … perfectly matching shoes too! I'm sorry, but I've officially given up on Kim when it comes to her maternity style. This is by far, the craziest thing I've ever seen the girl wear. The only nice part about it was how it hugged her belly bump, but other than that it was a complete fashion miss.

You know who looked AHMAZING though?

Jennifer Lopez! She OWNED it.

Unlike most red carpet events, when it comes to the Met Gala, celebrities really do like to take risks. While there were definitely a few of stars that rocked it at the fashionable event, there were some who showed up in looks that really made no kind of sense to me. Check out some of my picks for the best and worst dressed of the evening!

J.Lo looked pretty fierce in a hip-hugging leopard print dressed that showed off her amazing curves. The top knot bun and smoky eyes added some instant edge.

The 31-year-old star would have looked amazing had she not paired her gorgeous gown with that ghostly grey updo. Seriously, what made her think that was a good idea?

The actress graced the red carpet in a curve-hugging dark blue leather gown that featured sexy, feminine cut outs and lace-like laser cut embellishments. She upped her look with a black and gold spiked clutch, and cool double snake ear cuffs.

As beautiful as La La looked, I have to say I would have definitely preferred to see her in a much edgier ensemble. The simple red gown just didn’t seem to fit the occasion.

I don’t know how the Brazilian model was able to avoid a wardrobe malfunction with that barely-there Anthony Vaccarello mini. Honestly, what’s up those chain links?

The Mexican Telenovela actress and singer looked incredibly elegant in a long, black sequin gown. The pompadour hairstyle really complimented her style.

The Puerto Rican model showed up with designer Tom Ford who outfitted her in a gorgeous black lace gown that hit all the right notes. Stunning!
