Not sure how to use white vinegar to clean? No worries, let me share some of the ways we use it in our household.

  • Freshen laundry. I am a busy mami and sometimes I forget that I put a load of laundry in the washer. By the time I remember, it smells absolutely disgusting and the only thing that I have found that will remove the dank odor is vinegar. I pour about 3 cups of vinegar into the machine and rewash the clothes. The stink disappears.
  • Get rid of mildew. Wipe down walls or affected area with undiluted white vinegar.
  • Disinfect children's toys. Please do not assume that they only way you can get kids toys truly clean is with bleach. No, you can soak kids toys in sudsy water with a good-sized splash of vinegar and they will be cleaned without harshness.
  • Kill germs in the bathroom. You know there are germs in the bathroom, I don't have to tell you about those. Go on and spray those germs with full-strength vinegar and then wipe down the area with a damp cloth.
  • Clean up during cold and flu season. Stop the spread of viruses by wiping down doorknobs, phones, and other areas that are frequently touched with vinegar.

These are just a few of the many uses for vinegar. Go on: stock up and clean up and rest assured that you are not just cleaning your home, but also using something that keeps our environment green and clean.
