Most of us loved Barbie growing up, but even so, she has caused some serious controversy over the years in regards to her unrealistic portrayal of beauty. But a recent image on Imgur attributed toEddie Aguirre shows Barbie not looking like her usual perfect self. In fact, it looks like how Barbie would probably look first thing in the morning— __if she wasn't perfect!–__with messy bed hair, no makeup, under-eye circles, freckles, and even braces. In other words, she pretty much looks like we look in the mornings!

It looks like Barbie is the latest one to join the ranks when it comes to not wearing makeup and I have to say she looks just as cute as some of our bare-faced celebs.
Barbie's flawless face and stick thin figure has been widely debated by many for years. There was even a photograph that came out last year that highlighted how her proportions would look on an actual human and it was really REALLY frightening! Our little girls grow up playing with these dolls and then feel the need to meet those unrealistic beauty standards. So I think if Mattel actually came out with a doll that looked like this, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. The question is: Would kids actually want to play with it?
Okay, maybe if they just got rid of the circles under her eyes and left her with a makeup-free face with freckles and braces that would work. Oh and gave her some more body mass of course! Anyhow, I don't know about you but I'm getting tired of hearing about little girls (and sadly even adults) comparing how they look to their Barbie dolls. It's totally unhealthy and honestly, it makes me want to never buy my niece or future daughter a Barbie doll.
As tired as she may look in this before picture, I think a Barbie with less than perfect features is definitely a step in the right direction. But until that finally happens, I'm not spending a dime on a single Barbie doll. I swear!
