“Period panties” are best idea ever, help you go with the flow!

Chicas, now there's an actual line of women's "period  panties," called Thinx, that's designed to backup your pads and tampons from any possible leaks. Yes, they're real. Come on, every woman has a pair of underwear reserved especially for when she has her period. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about! You know, those black, granny panties that hide out in the back of your underwear drawer until it's that time of the month. These new ones are pretty genius and let you continue with the natural flow of your life.

But with this new invention you no longer have to worry about sporting ratty old panties again when you're on your period. Identical twins Miki and Radha Agrawal, along with their good friend Antonia Dunbar decided to design a panty that's leak-free, stain-resistant, anti-microbial, durable, AND cute! It's made to help prevent those "oops" period moments that every woman out there tries to avoid.

In fact, the idea emerged after Radha had experienced an accident while wearing a white skirt (my worst nightmare) to a business meeting. Yikes!

"I thought to myself, I can't believe they don't make underwear that's not leak- and stain-resistant. And wouldn't it be great if they did?" she says in the company's kick starter video.

The collection includes the following four styles: Hiphuggers, Cheeky, Limited Edition by Naven (a lacy version designed by L.A. designers), and Shapewear Comfy, which is a Spanx-like panty that not only minimizes the appearance of bloating, but get this–includes mini-heating pads to treat cramps! Isn't that genius?

These panties are NO joke! Not only do they look a whole lot prettier than your usual period panties, but they're the smartest, most thoughtful pair of underwear out there. I honestly can't believe no one thought of this before. Seriously, how many stained, nasty abuelita panties did we have to discard in the world before an invention like this finally came to be? All I know is I'm definitely in! Once these panties hit retailers in May I'll be the first one on line ready to stack up.
