North. Yes, as in a baby named North West. No, I'm not kidding. We all should have seen this coming. Ever since the couple announced they were having a baby, it's been nothing but Kim this and Kanye that. So of course they'd name their kid something that would cause just as much (annoying) attention.
I could already imagine this poor kid being made fun of in school. I'm sorry, but naming your kid North West is just plain mean. And I thought Gwyneth Paltrow was crazy when she named her daughter Apple Martin (hello, were they drunk?) or when Holly Madison named her kid Rainbow Aurora. But no, this is way worse. Compared to North those names are actually … sort of nice.
Kim and Kanye still haven't confirmed this rumor to be true, so there's still hope that this is all a lie, an elaborate P.R. hoax, and they'll give their kid a normal name. I don't see why they can't go for something cute and simple, like Kourtney did by naming her two kids Mason and Penelope.
One thing I can be certain of is that Kimye definitely didn't get the name North out of a baby names book. Is it unique? I guess. Is it clever? No. Hopefully mom-in-chief Kris Jenner can get them to reconsider. Or maybe someone should just send them a copy of The Complete Book of Baby Names for inspiration because the name North is just not cute.
