It takes a lot of dedication and discipline to lose weight, but it's even harder when you are unhealthily overweight and need motivation to drop the pounds on a daily basis. That's where The Biggest Loser comes in and the trainers which include fitness gurus, Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper, help push the contestants to the best of their abilities.

Allen, an advertising account coordinator, started out the competition weighing in at 258 pounds and ended (and won!) the show at a healthy 137 pounds, losing 49.6 percent of her original body weight. She expressed gratitude during the show's finale:

"I feel amazing. No one can take this away from me. I feel whole again and it just took clearing out all that mental stuff that I had going on to get to this place."

Allen even admitted that had she lost, she would have still been satisfied because of the impressive transformation her body had gone through.

This just goes to show that when you put your mind to something, the results can only be endless! If you're currently struggling to lose some pounds before bathing suit season, Allen and the other Biggest Loser contestants are excellent role models to look up to during your endeavor. Remember, the majority of the weight loss process is 90 percent mental and 10 percent physical!
