I had a chat with Lisa Velazquez, M.A., known as TheLovestyle Coach and Sex Therapist Educator about how getting down and dirty can perk up your appearance. Sex give you a natural flush
I’m always applying highlighters, blush, and bronzer to give my complexion an illuminating touch of color, but having sex will give your skin a nice natural flush. “When you engage in sex it increases your blood circulation and boost immunity," says Velazquez. "This assists the body to pump oxygen to your skin that will make it glow. It also eliminates toxins and cleans your pores as well, making your lips even appear a little fuller!"
Sex fights wrinkles
All the anti-aging treatments and sunscreens in the world aren’t going to ward off wrinkles if you’re constantly stressed. But guess what? A few minutes of doing the deed might make a difference! “Sex increases the production of collagen, which prevents wrinkles, age spots and sagging skin. Sex is a fun way to promote youthful skin," says Velazquez.
Sex give you sexy hair!
Sliding around in your sheets doesn’t just give you voluminous tresses, it also contributes to a head full of healthy strands. “Many female hormonal issues can lead to hair loss and thinning,” says Velazquez, “but sex reduces hormone levels, which help promote healthy hair.”
Sex give you a curvier appearance
Believe it or not, getting down and dirty can even give the illusion of bigger boobs. “Her breast may appear larger during sex from the angles of different positions,” says Velazquez. No need for a push up bra here!
Sex can give you a hot bod
"Thirty minutes of active sexual activity can burn between 150 to 350 calories, and 3.5 hours per week can burn up to 2,450 calories," Velazquez says. "But this varies based on the activity rate" She adds: "Sex also decreases testosterone-related hormones that work your muscles and keep you flexible. One sex position that can give you an intense work out is being on top of your partner. You can increase the intensity by facing him, getting up on your toes and squatting up and down (with caution to keep his penis inside your vagina). Try holding his hands for balance and intimate connection. This position will be sure to work your heart, quadriceps, hamstrings and even increase balance and coordination.
