The smartest fork ever actually tells you when you’re eating too fast!

I'm always saying that to lose weight you NEED to slow down your eating habits. In fact, I even made that Tip #5 in our 31 Days of Latinas Losing Weight challenge. Trust me, we ALL need to learn this lesson. If you scarf down something in two seconds, you'll end up overeating and getting bloated and gaining weight. The new-to-the-market product called the HAPIfork has flashlights and a USB monitor that monitors how much you put into your mouth each minute and how much you pause in between bites. Then, if you are eating way too fast, it actually vibrates to alert you to slow down. Plus, the data is then uploaded to HAPILABS's online dashboard or the iPhone app to tell you where you're eating badly. This is what they say about it online:

The HAPIfork is an electronic fork that monitors your eating habits. The HAPIfork gives you precise information about your eating schedule. The HAPIfork alerts you with the help of indicator lights when you are eating too fast.

To be honest, I think this is seriously the greatest thing ever–except, of course, keeping track of how much you're eating yourself. I think that if you're having a hard time with this, then this handy fork is definitely a great little device. As for me, I learned how to pause my eating a long time ago thanks to using a kitchen timer (like I outlined in Tip #5). But, well, if you don't mind spending the money and need an app to keep track, then this actually might be the best way to get some healthier slower eating habits and finally lose the weight.
