Fuchsia Lipstick
This bold pink lipstick is not only beautiful, but really does look good on everybody. A warm fuchsia shade that doesn’t have a lot of blue in it complements all skin tones. Try Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Fuchsia Flash Matte ($19).
Taupe eye shadow
The color taupe is a mixture of brown and gray. It’s dark and neutral enough to go with most skin tones and eye colors. The best way to wear this shade is applying it on the lids. For a elegant evening look, try a shimmery taupe, like L'Oréal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow in Bronzed Taupe ($7).
Coral blush
Coral is one of the few shades that works well on both cool and warm undertones. It’s light enough to work on fair skin and bright enough to complement darker complexions. The trick is in how much you apply. For pale or light skin tones, apply a light touch to cheeks; medium or dark skinned chicas, feel free to apply a heavier amount for a nice, natural flush. Sheer gold gloss
A tint of gold looks good on everyone, whether you have gold, yellow, or pink undertones. Try a sheer lipgloss with subtle gold flecks, it will help brighten up your face. Try Clinique Lip Gloss in Goldspun ($15).
Dark smoky eye palette
I have yet to meet someone who doesn’t look fabulous sporting a charcoal smoky eye. There’s a reason why this classic look never goes out of style–it literally flatters every woman. Black smoky eyes can be harsh on pale skin, while metallic ones can wash out darker complexions. Charcoal is the perfect medium. Try Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Collection ($65)
Neutral bronze shadows
Like gold gloss, neutral bronzy shadows are not only universally flattering, but work to brighten and widen the eyes instantly. This Estée Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette in Bronze Dunes ($48) comes in a variety of light, medium, and dark shades, so chances are you’ll find a shade that perfectly complements your skin tone and your eye color.
Chocolate pencil eye liner
Believe it or not, black eyeliner doesn’t look good on everybody. Very black liners can look harsh against certain eye colors. Try a universally flattering dark brown eyeliner, like MAC Eye Kohl Eye Liner in Teddy ($15).
