Mexican singer and Telenovela actress Lucero hosted the 2012 Latin Grammys Awards (sponsored by L'Oreal Paris) tonight alongside Chilean American actor, Cristian de la Fuente. She sported a number of different fabulous looks throughout the show, but one that really stood out the most to be was this classic and polished side updo. Everything about this look screams glamour girl. From the side-swept bangs to the incredibly shiny finish, which added a truely red carpet touch to Lucero's refined look. Check out a few of my simple-to-follow steps below to help you achieve this style yourself!

Step 1: Begin by applying a dry shampoo to second or third day hair to absorb excess oil, refresh hair and buiild instant volume. Updos are normally achieved best with dirty hair to help hold the hair.
Step 2: Then using a 1 inch curling iron, wrap sections of hair around the barrel to create, soft loose curls. Run fingers through curls to break up the curls into textured waves.
Step 3: Brush hair into a side ponytail and secure with an elastic. Gently twist the ponytail into a bun. Secure with bobby pins as you go. If you have long bangs, pin bangs to the side (same side where bun is), securing with bobby pins.
Step 4: Smooth any frizz or flyaways on the top using a flat boar bristile brush.
Step 5: Apply with a strong a flexible hold hairpsray like L'Oreal Paris Satin Strong Hold Elnett Hairspray($15).
