The Britax Child Safety car seats being recalled are the Boulevard 70-G3, Advocate 70-G3, Pavilion 70-G3 and were manufactured between June 2012 and August 2012. If you have purchased a car seat, the company is offering free replacement chest pads made of durable material children can't tear.

The good news is that the manufacturer is offering different suggestions and advises that parents remove the pads if they haven't done so already. For consumers who have the faulty item at home, a free remedy kit complete with replacement pads will be sent to them if they have the chair registered. If the chair hasn't been registered, they should call the company at (888) 327-4236 to request a remedy kit.

Thankfully the manufacturers are taking care of the issue now, rather than later. If you are an owner of one of these car seat styles please follow Britax's advice–after all it's for your own child's safety!
