Watch the heartwarming moment a soldier meets his daughter for the first time (VIDEO)

Imagine not being able to be at your daughter's birth because you're stationed thousands of miles away. U.S marine Fernando Chuva received the most special hello upon returning home after being stationed in Afghanistan from his 4-month-old daughter, Sophia.

Sophia was born while Fernando was away and the bad internet connection overseas made it hard for this dad to get to see his daughter via the internet. The video below captures the heartwarming moment when the marine was seeing his child after his fourth deployment. Aw, such a sweet story!

I have to give credit where it's due and say that wives of the military are some of the strongest women out there. To have your husband deployed for long periods of time must be very difficult not only as a parent but having to worry about your partner's safety all the time.

Chuva's wife, Dana, had set up the cutest welcome home sign attached to Sophia's stroller which read: "I've waited my entire life to meet you…welcome home daddy." She even had the baby girl dress in a shirt that said, "Welcome home daddy!" How adorable is that!

It must be an exciting experience to meet your baby for the first time. Hopefully Fernando can enjoy his daughter while he can before he's shipped off again. Thankfully his next deployment will be his last and then he will be home for good so he can enjoy little Sophia to the fullest!
