Now why would Kourtney Kardashian think spinning around in a flouncy skirt and thong on a balcony would be a good idea? Really? The 33-year-old reality star, who recently gave birth to her second child, was standing outside on a hotel balcony in Miami with sister Kim Kardashian after shooting their first season of their new reality series, Kim and Kourtney Take Miami.
The two began dancing and spinning around together until the wind suddenly blew Kourtney's skirt right up, resulting in a pretty cheeky situation. But unlike Kourtney, I don't take wardrobe malfunctions very lightly. In fact accidentally flashing my business for the world to see on a windy day would actually be pretty traumatic for me! So to avoid these kind of embarrassing situations from happening I have a few fashion rule I try to always live by. Check out a few of my tips below to help you avoid any possible wardrobe malfunctions!

1. Wear shorts. Whenever I'm wearing a flowy, flouncy skirt I always make sure to slip on a pair of short shorts underneath. A pair of short biker shorts can work. But if you don't feel like buying any just for this, take a pair of old worn out leggings (particulary those that now have holes in them) and cut a pair of shorts that hit mid-thigh.
2. Carry safety pins. Whenever I'm going out to a special event (think wedding or anniversary party), I always try to carry a few safety pinks in my purse. You just never know when a button is going to suddenly fall off or if the zipper from your dress decides to break. Better safe than sorry right?
3. Bring baby wipes: I always like to have some baby wipes on hand, for a number of reasons. One reason being in case I get deodorant stains on a dark or black dress. Yes, a lot of deodorants claim they don't leave behind white residue. But I don't know about you but those same formulas still occasionally leave a stain on my dark clothes. So to stay on the safe side make sure to carry a small pack of these in your purse, just in case!
4. Always have some clear nail polish on hand: I don't care how "trendy" it might be, but for me, having runs in my stockings is never a good look! Sorry but my mami taught me better than that! But if you do get one, don't freak out! Just make sure to carry a small bottle of clear nail polish on you and apply a little right over the run. The polish will prevent the tights from ripping any further.
5. Keep some bandages in your purse: Whenever I'm going out in a new pair of heels, I usually carry a few bandages or blister gel cushions just in case the blister-prone areas of my feet (normally in the back of my heel) get irritated. Also, a good preventive tip is massaging petroleum jelly or another heavy moisturizer all over your foot before putting on your pumps. I tried this trick recently and it really worked!
6. Carry spot stain remover: Because I'm such a clutz, I usually like like to bring some kind of stain remover with me. Tide To Go Instant Stain Remover Pens ($9) usually do the trick for me!
