Get sexy, voluminous hair in 5 easy steps!

I have been obsessing for weeks over the extra-hot loose curls that were seen at the Daisy Fuentes' Spring 2013 Fashion Week show (see the picture on the right!). I mean, who doesn't want a head full of sexy, voluminous hair? These flirty and tousled strands definitely never go out of style!

To be honest, part of the reason why I love this look is because I sport it all the time! Here I am (on the left) rocking the style at my tía Myrna's wedding. Whether it's a wedding, a party or on date night with the boyfriend (guys love it by the way!), this Victoria's Secret model-looking hairstyle never does me wrong. Here are a few of my tips to help you achieve this bombshell look at home!

Step 1: Start off by applying a dime-size amount of a smoothing styling cream through damp hair. I love Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream ($32). It helps me create soft styles without weighing down my strands. For a cheaper buy, try Pantene Silky Moisture Whip ($7).

Step 2: Blow-dry hair using a round brush to create body. Once hair is blown out, wrap one-inch sections of hair around a one inch curling iron. I like Sultra The Bombshell 1 Inch Curling Iron ($130) and Hot Tools 1 inch Flipperless Gold Curling Wand ($40). I find clasp-less curling irons a lot easier to use.

Step 4: Make sure that after curling each section, you curl each section of hair and bobby pin it to your scalp, so that the curl will last. Simply wrap the strand into a little circle using your fingers and pin it down using bobby pins.

Step 5: After finishing curling each section, run your finger through hair to loosen and break up the curls. Finish the look with a strong but flexible hold hairspray. I always use L'Oréal Elnett Satin Hairspray in Extra Strong Hold Unscented ($15).
