As the warm summer weather starts to cool, I'm suddenly reminded that summertime is about to come to an end. Before we know it our summer closets will be in need of some fall apparel. But I'm not quite ready to pack away my cute sandals and pretty summer sundresses just yet! So I've pulled together some pieces to help all of us summer lovers transition into fall as seamlessly as possible–like Jessica Alba in this picture!
Which one of these summer staples do you plan on sporting this fall?

Floral Dress
I love me summer floral dresses and I’m sure you do too. So relax and sport them under an edgy, leather jacket. A super feminine dress paired with a rockerish jacket creates the perfect soft-hard balance.
Sundress
Pair your other sundresses with some chic ankle booties and a cozy cardigan or denim jacket and your outfit will instantly become less summery. This look is all about layering to create texture and warmth.
Denim Vest
A little denim vest can go a long way when it comes to putting together a summer outfit. But believe it or not, the same still applies for fall! For summer it looks great over sundresses because it adds some tough-sexy appeal. For fall, wear it with a slim fitting T-shirt and some trousers or black jeans, but remember that once it starts to get colder you may want to swap it for a denim jacket!
Floral Jeans
Floral jeans are still in season, so don’t feel bad if you purchased 2 or 3 this season! Pairing this summer must-have with a silky blouse and a denim or leather jacket is a great way to make these jeans transitional.
Maxi Dress
Yes you CAN rock your long summer dresses during the fall season. Pair them with some ankle booties and a thin pullover sweater for a nice layered effect.

Sandals
These don't have to been thrown to the back of your closet right away. Stretch them out into the fall as long as you can. I wear them with jeans and a light blazer for the perfect balance.
Trouser Shorts
The best way to squeeze your favorite summer shorts into your fall wardrobe is to wear them either with pullover sweater for a relaxed cool style or with a silky blouse and matching jacket for a more polished look. You can even wear them with tights when it gets a bit chillier.
