Now that the weather is absolutely PERFECT to break out the grill and indulge in some of my favorite summertime cooking (just check out our Ultimate Latin BBQ Grill Guide!), it's also a great time for one of my favorite indulgences this time of year: ICE CREAM!
Now, I'm a huge fan of chocolate ice cream. I mean, really, from ages 1 until 18, it was the only ice cream I ever really ate. But now that I'm older (and I hope at least a BIT wiser), I'm much more in love with ice creams that are inspired by our Latin flavors. There are actually plenty to choose from and each is as delicious as the next. Check out some of my favorites, below!

Häagen Dazs Dulce de Leche

The first Latin flavored ice cream that I ever tried was this dulce de leche version and, to be honest, it's still my favorite of the much. Simple flavors and simply amazing.
Klondike Choco Taco

Okay, I admit it: this thing looks a little weird. I mean, a chocolate taco? When I first saw it, I thought it was weird… but then I tried it and realized just how DELICIOUS it is!
Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia

Out of all the delicious and creative flavors, this one with cherries and fudge flakes is by far the best one–and named after the part-Spanish guitarist of the Grateful Dead!
Cold Stone Banana Caramel Crunch

Cold Stone is great fun because you can make your own ice cream, but their banana (my favorite tropical fruit!) and caramel version is absolutely the best they can offer.
Baskin Robbins Daiquiri Ice

Is there anything better than a splash of rum in ice cream? Nope, I didn't think so. This one's an absolute delight, pairing lime along with rum flavoring like a margarita.
