We're a family of geeks without pocket protectors. We celebrate nerdy days like Star Wars Day or Pi Day on March 14.
After my son outgrew his Thomas the Tank Halloween costume when he was four, he quickly traded it for Star Wars characters. One year he was Darth Vader and another year he was Anakin Skywalker.
I can't count the number of times we've watched the Star Wars movies.
He once had the audacity to quote Yoda when I spoke about attempting to meet a deadline. Then six years old, he said, "No! Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try." What?!!!
Star Wars has brought fond memories to our family, including some very intense light saber duels.
With all the crap out there these days, I am very thankful to George Lucas for helping our family bond.
So today, "May the Fourth be with you!"
Are there any nerdy dates you and your family celebrate? Are you a Star Wars fan?
