Oh sweetie, I'm not sure what on earth you were thinking when you stepped out in this disaster of ruffles and mesh, but I know what you WEREN'T thinking about: Underwear!
Former Cheetah Girls star Adrienne Bailon was spotted on the red carpet at the Escape to Total Rewards event in New York last night in a dress that left little to the imagination. And when the cream colored ruffled adornment on the front of her dress slipped to the left a bit, the cameras caught the full monty since Bailon hadn't bothered to put on any underwear even though she MUST have been aware of the possibility of this happening.
The worst part though, is that she showed absolutely no modesty or shame when questioned about her daring ensemble.
"If I could come out naked, I would," she told Celebuzz at the event. "This is just some fancy stuff to throw over my little naked body."
Alrighty then. Look, I know that barely there dresses and outfits have MADE the careers of some celebrities. I mean, who can forget the impact Jennifer Lopez made in that now infamous Versace handkerchief dress she wore to the 200 Grammys? Sure she was already a star, but after she donned the infamous "Jungle Dress" her notoriety reached insane new levels.
But Adrienne, honey, you ain't no J.Lo, at least not yet–and the random publicity event you attended last night is NOT going to get you the kind of positive attention you crave.
The worst part for me is that Bailon made her name on a show for kids! Sure, she has the right to grow up, but aside from dating Rob Kardashian, she is still best known as a Cheetah Girl. I guess we can just keep our fingers crossed that her teen fans don't get a glimpse of this fashion faux pas.
The other thing that annoys me about this likely staged oops is that the dress(?) is just not cute! And unfortunately, it's a sneak peek of what's to come from her upcoming fashion line collaboration with Dominique Auxilly. Adrienne Bailon is a GORGEOUS girl. She clearly has some sort of singing talent or she wouldn't have been plucked out of the crowd by Disney in the first place. Why not get people talking about what you do have going for you than what you don't?
Besides, Britney and Paris already did the no undies thing to death back in 2007.
What do you think about Bailon going sans panties in a sheer dress?
