Salma Hayek and other stars stun on Premios Goya red carpet

The Premios Goya 2012 took place in Madrid on Sunday, honoring the best of this year's Spanish cinema. Spain's brightest stars and directors, including Latina actress and mom Salma Hayek, came out in full force to celebrate the occasion.

Hayek, earned a nomination for her role in La Chispa de la Vida (As Luck Would Have It), also presented an award on stage.  "I'm so happy to be here," the 45-year-old star told Reuter TV. "I mean, the Goyas are legendary. I never thought in my life that I would be here tonight. I'm very grateful to the Spanish Academy for thinking on me and including me tonight."

The star looked gorgeous on the red carpet, wearing an elegant red dress that showed off her toned bod and posing for pictures with hubby Francois-Henri Pinault. Seriously, she is rocking some serious Latina curves. I hope my body looks like that at 45 years old and post-baby! She looks amazing!

Other notable celebrities at the show included actors Antonio Banderas and his wife Melanie Griffin. Banderas, star of "La piel que habito" (The Skin I Live In), was nominated for his depiction of the surgeon who creates a synthetic skin. Directed by Oscar winning Pedro Almodovar, the film earned the most nominations. Co-star Elena Anaya, who also looked lovely on the red carpet in a flowy, one-shoulder gown, won the award for Best Leading Actress.

But the film who won majority of the night's top honors was "No habrá paz para los malvados" (No Peace for the Wicked), which won Best Picture, Best Direction, Best Actor for star Jose Coronado, and Best Original Screenplay.

I admit, I am a sucker for awards season and award show fashion but I don't typically watch Spanish film awards. Still, if all the celebs look as good as Hayek, I might have to start!
