It's just been announced that singer and actress Selena Gomez, 29, has signed on to produce an upcoming Spanish-language docuseries with Univision. Titled Mi Vecino, El Cartel, the true-crime show will be the very first series that Selena has produced in Spanish and potentially the start of an ongoing relationship with the network.

"Selena Gomez is obviously a superstar—there's probably nobody bigger—and she also cares a lot about elevating Latinx voices and storytelling. So the match was perfect," said Rodrigo Mazón, the executive vice president and general manager of Univision's SVOD (its premium subscription streaming service) in a press release issued in conjunction with the announcement.
