Today is International Women's Day, and here at MamásLatinas, we want to celebrate you, and congratulate you for always making us Latinas look good in this country. Each day, more and more of us are carving out a space in this country, and we keep showing our intelligence, our talent, our work ethic, our resourcefulness, and humanity, beauty, and our heart.
While here in the U.S. our rights as women continue to be debated (can you believe it in this day and age?!), our countries have already seven female presidents, countless diplomats, and even some ministers of defense. Our movie and television stars become businesswomen and producers, taking an important role behind the camera (and of course influencing the films that are made!). Our scientists are pioneers. All these Latinas are simply amazing.

All those accomplishments inspire us to be better everyday. It's not a coincidence that more of more of our young Latinas are graduating from college every year, and it's Latinas who make up the majority of the small and medium-sized business owners in the country.
