Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are doing things their way. Kensington Palace announced on Saturday, November 24, that the pair was moving out of the palace into their own private cottage in Windsor. The news comes after rumors that there was tension between Harry and his brother, Prince William, as well as other reports that the Duchess of Sussex wasn't getting along with sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.
While the palace doesn't comment on royal rumors, they did reveal that the pair will be moving into the Frogmore Cottage at the beginning of 2019, in preparation for the arrival of Meghan and Harry's first child. The pair announced in October that they are expecting a baby, who is due in April 2019. Now they will be leaving behind their two-bedroom apartment where they've been living since they got engaged in November 2017, and trading it in for a newly remodeled 10-bedroom home across the street from Frogmore House.

The couple, who values their privacy, will not be living near Prince William and his family and about 25 miles from London. "Frogmore Cottage will be ideal for privacy which Harry and Meghan set such store by for obvious reasons," royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said to USA Today. "William and Kate will one day be King and Queen Consort; Harry as sixth in line to the throne has freedoms which together with Meghan he will want to exploit."
The home was gifted to the newlyweds by Prince Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and it's where they will soon be raising their family together. Click through to see all the details we know about the home and their upcoming move.
