I don't know about you, but my body is screaming at me after nearly two whole months of stuffing my belly with candy, pie, coquito, ham, cookies, arroz con gandules and wine this past holiday season. I am seriously craving fresh fruits and vegetables. In fact, as I sit here writing this, there are homemade cinnamon buns and butter cookies on my counter and I really just want to throw them out. Sounds crazy right? I am just so completely done with the over-indulgence. So yesterday I went grocery shopping and stocked up on all sorts of our favorite healthy foods–foods that we eat on a regular basis outside of the holiday season–quinoa, citrus fruit, avocados, carrots and brussels sprouts to name a few, and I'm so looking forward to throwing together a few detox meals for my family. And no, that doesn't mean we will be eating our dinners in liquid form!
