I find that getting kids into the kitchen and having them help make the food, especially when the food trends toward dessert, gets them really excited about tasting the finished product. Oh, and I'm not gonna lie, I am not above bribing (even though most parenting experts tell you it's a no-no). Yup, I tell my kids that if they want to eat the scrumptious yummies they helped prepare, then they better eat some of savory items they're not as excited about. The big surprise for them comes when they realize that everything that is being served is actually delicious. It's a win-win!
