My mother chases me around with the skin from avocados all the time. You know the part that is left over after you take out all the meaty avocado-y yumminess to make your guac or whatever? Sometimes when I'm not careful, my mother catches me and before I know it she has smeared what's left of the avocado on my face and tells me it's good for me.
She's right, though: Avocados are totally good for you and avocado oil is great topically for your skin. I just don't like to be chased around by my mother and shmeared in the face. I mean, can't she just let me do it myself?

So let me be clear here, I am not an advocate of sacrificing avocados in the name of beauty. I think that first and foremost avocados are meant to be ingested, but let's say you made some guacamole and have a few skins with some fruit still on them, or you have an avocado that is a tad past its prime, well, then by all means use them for the good of your skin or hair.
